A 1989 graduate of Bishop Kearney High School, Dave helped the Kings to State Class B Runner-Up titles in 1987 and 1988. In 1991 he co-founded the Geneseo State Men's Club Volleyball Team.

Dave played outside hitter for the men's programs at SUNY Geneseo from 91-93 and St. John Fisher from 96-98, contributing to each team's berth into the East Coast Championships in 93 and 98. Dave also served as Head Coach for the St. John Fisher Men's team from 94-96, during their first winning season. Coach Dave began his high school coaching career in 02 as the Midlakes' JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach. He assumed the Varsity Coach position at Midlakes in ‘03 and ’04, leading the team to their 1st Sectional playoff berth since 1998.

In 2005 Dave took over the Wayne Girls Varsity Program and is now in his 4th season with them. During that time, he led the Eagles to 2 Finger Lakes East titles, 1 Section V Class A semi-final finish (2007), runner-up finish (2005) and Class A Champion (2006). Dave and Wayne produced a Far Western Regional Championship in 2006 as well as a State Final Four appearance in that same year

He joined the Xtreme Volleyball Club coaching staff as an Assistant Coach to the 16-1 team in the Fall of 2000 and was IMPACT Certified in May of ‘01. Dave was the head coach for the Xtreme 16-2 team from 2001-2004 and coached the Club's first 15-1 team last year. The 2006-2007 season will be Coach's 7th at Xtreme and 2nd with the 15-1 team.
