A: Xtreme conducts three tryout sessions that are monitored and videotaped (for review) by over twenty-four volunteer coaches and advisors. These volunteers rank players on ability, coachability, hustle, determination and other criteria that Xtreme strives for in our players. All volunteers help to decide where a player is ultimately placed in our organization based on these ranking and evaluations.
A: Each player is provided with a Tournament Sign-Up Sheet. This is a list of tournaments that are available to their team to attend for the season. The sign-up sheet will have the tournament dates, times, and locations as well as the Tournament Fees associated with each event. Players will have the opportunity to sign up for all the tournaments that she can play in. Once all players have announced their availability for the season’s tournaments, the team’s coaches will make the final selection of no more than 12 tournaments that the team will attend. Once a tournament list for each team is published, every player on that team is financially obligated for the season’s tournaments. Xtreme VBC understands that individual and family schedules can change, so we do allow a player who has said "NO" to a tournament to change that "NO" to a "YES" with proper notification given to the coach.
The Xtreme Volleyball Club was formed in the Fall of 1999 by a group of volleyball parents who were looking for a local, affordable, professionally run volleyball organization that could help their daughters improve as players, teammates, and individuals. It was also formed to help improve the level of play in the Finger Lakes Region.
