XTREME SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Each year (based solely on our funding) the Xtreme VBC plans to award scholarship(s) to recognize achievements by Xtreme's Student/Athletes. All applicants for these scholarships must be (1) A graduating senior, (2) pursuing or planning to pursue a fulltime, postsecondary course of study in a degree program at a United States institution in the fall of 2008, (3) a member of Xtreme for a minimum of two years.
In addition, some scholarships may be further restricted by the donor or your chosen university or college. Each applicant will be considered for all scholarships for which she applioes. The scholarship application deadline is March 31, 2008.
The following scholarships are available:
A: XTREME OUTSTANDING STUDENT / ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP
Award Value - $1,000.00 (estimated)
This Scholarship will be awarded to the Xtreme member who has exhibited exceptional dedication to Xtreme VBC, conducted themselves with enthusiasm and pride and shown a dedication to the game of volleyball as well as other community, civic and school activities while maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.0
Xtreme VBC Application must be completed.
B: XTREME COACHES SCHOLARSHIP
Award Value - $500.00 (estimated)
This scholarship will be awarded to the Xtreme member who continually has demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, ethics and integrity during her time with the club. The recipient of this award will be selected by the Xtreme coaching staff.
No additional restrictions.
WINNERS: The Scholarship Committee reviews all applications and selects the scholarship winners. These winners, the same number as there are scholarships to award, will be privately notified of the selection committee prior to June 1st and will be introduced as winners at the annual Xtreme VBC picnic.
All decisions by the Scholarship Committee are final.
Scholarship checks will be issued to the attending school, upon proof of full-time enrollment for the fall semester after the scholarship is granted.
